The original unit of this semi-detached house with a floor size of 6×11 meters was no longer convenient for growing family. The smaller size of the plot did not allow a large footprint increase and thus the needed extension, a second floor was added. New volume of the second floor links to the rest of the neighboring  house harmoniously – it is changing it’s triangular shape at the connection with former house into the rectangular shape on the other end, so that the maximum use of space is reached. To increase the emphasis on simplicity and uniformity of the new volume, wood paneling was used for all facades and roof.
